The Walking Dead season 8 airs on Sunday nights at 9pm and here’s how you can watch it. While AMC’s apocalyptic drama isn’t quite as massively popular as it once was, The Walking Dead remains one of those shows that it’s almost essential to experience live. Whether revealed accidentally or purposefully by trolls, Walking Dead spoilers seem to make their way online almost immediately after each new episode airs, threatening to ruin big happenings for anyone unfortunate enough to tune in late.

Despite this status as a perennial conduit for social media discussion, it would be disingenuous to talk about TWD without mentioning its ongoing ratings woes. The last few seasons have seen Walking Dead’s numbers enter a downward spiral, and it’s long past the point where that trend could be dismissed as an aberration. The question now is whether The Walking Dead can turn things around, and begin to build its fanbase back up. After all, AMC has expressed a desire to keep the TWD franchise on its roster for years to come. For those looking to tune in live, there are a variety of ways available to do so.

In Canada: The Walking Dead airs live on AMC in Canada as well. Regrettably, there are fewer online viewing options for The Walking Dead compared to the US, but iTunes does offer Canadian users the same one-time purchase option for the entirety of Season 8. On the postive side, the price for the iTunes pass in Canada is actually slightly less than the US price at $39.99.

In the United Kingdom: The Walking Dead airs live on FOX across the pond, but the catch is that it’s a day later than in the US, meaning the return premiere’s on Monday, February 26. The iTunes Season 8 pass option also applies to the UK as well, priced at £29.99. Those without a TV subscription can also watch TWD Season 8 live using the Now TV online service, which includes FOX in its 11-channel Entertainment Pass for a monthly fee of £7.99.
