What is the Snap Camera App?
The Snap Camera app helps you to apply different lenses to your face or the background in the Microsoft Teams. The app becomes a virtual webcam on your PC. It accepts the input from the physical webcam present on your computer and adds filters to the output.
Now, here’s a guide on how you can use the filters in your Microsoft Teams.
Steps to describe how to use Snap Camera:
Download the Snap Camera app on your computer
Go to this link (https://snapcamera.snapchat.com/ ) and download the app. Start the installation process. You have to read and accept the “Snap Camera License Agreement” to proceed further. Verify the reCAPTCHA box. Double-click on the installer file to install the app on your computer. Inputting your email address is optional.
Set up the app
Once you’re finished with installing the app, open it. Go to the gear icon at the top right of the Snap camera. Click on the options “Choose your camera“. You should go to the Hotkeys section and set up a hotkey so that you can remember how to turn on/off the filter quickly. Choose any filter and have fun.
Use the app in Microsoft Teams
If you were using the Microsoft Team’s before you set up the camera, then close it. Re-open the Microsoft teams and go to the settings. In the settings section, choose “Devices“. Choose the Snap Camera from the camera settings option.

If you are already present in an ongoing meeting, then go to the three-dot menu. Click on it and choose Show Device Settings from the list. On the right side of the screen, you will see the Camera option, and now, choose Snap Camera. You can enjoy the filters until you change the settings. You can remove the filter by selecting the “Switch Camera” option present on the lower right corner of your video conference screen.
