Use Galaxy S20 or S20 Plus Secure Folder

Set up and use Galaxy Secure Folder

  • Open the apps drawer or swipe from the top of the screen using two fingers.
  • Find the Secure Folder and tap it.
  • If it’s the first time that you open Secure Folder, there will be a brief introduction for you. Then, you’ll be required to sign in with your Samsung account and set the lock type for Secure Folder. If you want, you can change the lock type at a later time by going under Settings > Biometrics and security > Secure Folder > Lock type.
  • Once Secure Folder has been set up, open the app from the Apps drawer to begin using it. This should activate Secure Folder to allow you to add apps or files in the main Secure Folder screen.

Hide Secure Folder from others

  • Open the apps drawer or swipe from the top of the screen using two fingers.
  • Find the Secure Folder and tap it.
  • Tap More options at the upper right (three dots).
  • Select Customize.
  • Under Customize, you can change the name of Secure Folder to something else. You can also change the shortcut icon to an entirely different appearance.
